Retransmission Software
Release Notes V1.3

Version 1.3 released  9-8-2002

     WxReTran

1.      Corrected a problem that caused the program to not shutdown when the close window (X) was clicked.

2.      The user can now specify the purge time, in hours.  Messages not transmitted by this time are deleted.

3.      Decreased the main processing timer to 125 milliseconds.

4.      The Schedule tab now validates the format line and the time entered.

5.      Implemented a simple state machine to get around absolute timing problems.

6.      The program will now check for morse identification at 30 seconds after each minute.  It was doing this at exactly at second 60, which was causing other program activities to not be processed.

7.      Added an option to turn on/off the pop-up error messages.

            8.  Added the ability to change the number of stop bits.

            9.  Changed the serial ingest program to correct an error 380.

     WxBBSrvr

1.      Modified the original Byte Blaster server to work with Weather Message.

2.      The ingest engines now have an option to enable byte blaster support.  This should be enabled when starting WxBBSrvr.

3.      Removed the requirement that connected users provide an email address.  The program was not using the email address and having no email address was causing many users to be disconnected.  Note:  Previous operation required an email address from the client – if none was entered, the client would be disconnected when capacity reached 90%.

4.      Implemented a simple state machine to get around absolute timing problems.

5.      Added an option to turn on/off the pop-up error messages.

6.      Added an option to log program activity to the log file.

7.      Added the ability to run the server without the NOAA Host Master.  This allows the Byte Blaster Server to be used on a private network.  This capability is undocumented.
